 Since 1991 the step pyramids of Güímar were investigated by the famous Norwegian anthropologist Dr. Thor Heyerdahl, who considered them to be extremely similar to the ones in Peru, Mexico and ancient Mesopotamia. Since the Opening of the Park to the public, back in April 1998, its potential has been increased considerably.
